BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Apr 16, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) announced today that Lawrence J. Pilon has resigned his position as executive vice president, human resources. "Larry came into the organization to help build and stabilize the Human Resources Department and to introduce worldwide human resource programs and processes," said Carlos M. Gutierrez, Kellogg chairman and chief executive officer. "He has successfully completed this, and we thank him for these very significant contributions."
With Mr. Pilon's resignation, the company also announced the promotion of Annunciata Cerioli to vice president, human resources for Kellogg Company. "We are fortunate to have an internal successor with strong international experience," said Mr. Gutierrez. "Ms. Cerioli will be an outstanding addition to our leadership team."
Ms. Cerioli has been employed by Kellogg for more than 13 years and has served in executive leadership positions in Italy, Spain and Australia. With this promotion, she will report directly to Mr. Gutierrez and become a member of the company's Executive Management Committee.
